Representatives of Vatel Belgrade, which operates within the Faculty of Organizational Studies "Eduka", participated in the 19th International Vatel Convention held in Nantes, France. The event gathered directors and representatives of all 55 Vatel campuses from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, confirming the strength and importance of one of the most prestigious global networks for education in the fields of hospitality and tourism. During the multi-day program, the central theme of the convention was quality as the foundation for the development of education, professional competencies, and international cooperation.
A special highlight of this year’s gathering was the official presentation of Vatel Belgrade as a new member of the international Vatel network. On that occasion, Vatel Group officially introduced the Belgrade campus among the new locations that will further strengthen the global presence of this educational system. Vatel Belgrade carries out its activities within the Faculty of Organizational Studies "Eduka", with key support from partners University of Donja Gorica and Vatel Montenegro. This important step represents confirmation of the quality and international recognition of the Faculty of Organizational Studies "Eduka", as well as a significant contribution to the development of education in the field of hospitality and tourism in Serbia.
The convention was marked by a large number of professional meetings, panel discussions, and workshops dedicated to improving the teaching process, developing study programs, and connecting campuses worldwide. Participants exchanged experiences on modern trends in hospitality, digital transformation in education, international student mobility, and cooperation with the industry. Special attention was given to improving quality standards, which represent one of the key values of the Vatel educational system. Plans for further network development were also presented, along with new initiatives aimed at strengthening international connections among students and faculty.
The host of this year’s convention was the campus Vatel Nantes, opened in 2018, which welcomed participants from around the world in a modern educational environment dedicated to developing future leaders in the hospitality and tourism industry.
For the representatives of Vatel Belgrade, the convention was an opportunity to establish new professional contacts, exchange best practices with colleagues from different countries, and present the potential of Serbia as an attractive tourist and educational destination. At the same time, full commitment was reaffirmed to the development of study programs that combine academic knowledge and practical competencies, for which the Vatel system is recognized worldwide. Today, the Vatel network includes more than 55 campuses across four continents and represents one of the leading international educational groups in the field of hospitality and tourism.

For Vatel Belgrade, this is both confirmation of a successful start and motivation for further strengthening international cooperation, developing study programs, and building connections with leading companies in the hospitality and tourism sector. Representatives of the Faculty of Organizational Studies "Eduka" expressed their satisfaction at becoming part of a global community that educates future leaders of the tourism and hotel industry. They are already looking forward with great expectations to the next International Vatel Convention, which will be held in Uzbekistan.
